The programme

About the programme

The Caregiver programme is for the person who looks after somebody at home or in a residential setting: the elderly parent, the patient recovering from surgery, the resident who needs help with the day.

What the programme covers

Personal care with dignity, safe movement and falling prevention, medication reminders and the limits of a carer's role, nutrition and hydration, infection control in the home, dementia-aware communication, and what to report and to whom. The programme is explicit about the boundary between care and clinical treatment, because a carer who knows where that line sits is a safer carer.

How it is taught

Sixteen two-hour sessions on campus, with the practical work done on beds, chairs and mobility equipment. Sessions are discussion-heavy: carers bring the situations they are already living with, and the group works through them.

Where it leads

Family caregiving, home-care agencies and residential care homes across the UAE, with a certificate that shows the training behind the work.
